Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a query is entered in a search tool displayed here, it is transmitted to the outside provider that operates that tool. That provider processes the query under its own policies. Monroe County Court Docket does not keep a local log of the names or case numbers entered into those partner tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained to respond and administer the correspondence. It is not shared outside our organization except when disclosure is required by law or needed to protect legal rights.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most websites, the service may receive technical information when a page is loaded. This information can include:
- The IP address used to make the request.
- Browser type, browser version, device type, and operating system.
- Pages viewed, the referring page when available, and visit timing.
- Performance and diagnostic data used to operate the service.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed by a browser. They may support site operation, traffic measurement, and aggregate analytics. Browser controls can limit cookies, although some page functions may then work differently. Advertising or analytics providers may use their own technology under their own policies.
What We Do With This Data
Visitor data may be used to operate and secure the service, diagnose technical problems, understand aggregate use, direct a submitted search to the selected provider, and support advertising or measurement functions. It is not used to maintain an official Monroe County court record.
No Court-Record Data on File
Monroe County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Monroe County dockets or personal case files. It publishes general route information and links to official court resources. Court-record access in Ohio is governed by the judicial framework in Rules of Superintendence 11.09 through 11.14; R.C. 149.43 addresses public-office records. Those provisions concern records held by the responsible government office or court, not visitor information held by this private reference site.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes may be operated by outside providers. Information entered into a partner tool is governed by that provider's privacy notice, retention practices, and sharing terms. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court, clerk, county, state, or other outside resources. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy controls its collection and use of information. We do not control the content, availability, tracking, or privacy practices of an external website.
Some advertising partners may collect information across websites for their own delivery or measurement purposes. That activity is governed by the partner's systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed to service providers that operate search, hosting, analytics, or advertising functions, and to government authorities when a valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information handled by this site. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and no promise is made that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on the place of residence and the law that applies, a visitor may be able to request access to personal information held about that visitor, ask for correction, request deletion, or limit certain processing. Ohio court access rules do not create a general visitor-data request process for this private site. Requests concerning a court record must instead go to the Monroe County court or clerk that maintains the record under the applicable judicial access rules.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The revised version becomes effective when it is posted here.
